Mumford Engineering was established over 50 years ago, in 1973 to provide toolmaking and injection moulding to local companies in East Anglia. We’ve built a reputation for being a specialists engineering company with a can do will do approach to delivering a complete one stop service.
Today we supply many manufacturing sectors; from the electronics industry to fishing tackle manufacturers. We continue to consolidate our position as a one stop service – from product design, injection mould tool design or manufacture to injection moulding of the finished products.
In 2024, Mumford’s joined the Pickering Group, a UK-based, private, family-owned manufacturer in switching and simulation technology, conveniently located on the same Clacton Industrial Estate as Mumford’s headquarters. This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter, with Pickering committing to significant investments in Mumford’s equipment, processes, and, most importantly, its people. These developments will strengthen Mumford’s ability to serve its customers and secure its long-term success for many years to come.
